The City of Lindale will host a free, 3-day event April 6-8, 2024, to commemorate the total solar eclipse that will occur across Texas. Lindale visitors will witness a full 3 minutes of totality!
Total Eclipse of the Park will be held at Darden Harvest Park, Picker’s Pavilion, and The Cannery. The event kicks off on Saturday, April 6th with opening ceremony festivities, followed by various events and activities throughout the weekend.

Eclipse viewing glasses will be provided, as well as various protected viewing options. There will also be Lindale-specific memorabilia and merchandise for sale throughout the weekend.
On Monday, April 8th, Picker’s grounds and Darden Harvest Park will be the premier eclipse viewing destination in town! After the total eclipse ends, the event will conclude.

What is STEM?

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The need for STEM programming in education developed out of concern that future generations were lacking critical skills needed to succeed in the current and future economy. STEM programming teaches innovation, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration among many other skills proven to lead to success.
What is STEAM?

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. The difference is that arts are included, ranging from visual arts, language arts and physical arts to music and more. STEAM focuses on sparking imagination and creativity through the arts in ways that naturally align with STEM learning.

Total Eclipse Time Capsule
Be part of history -- bring an item for the Total Eclipse of the Park Time Capsule!
Help Lindale commemorate this historic event by placing memorabilia into our official time capsule to be buried in Darden Harvest Park. Items must meet the following requirements:
- No larger than 4" x 6"
- No liquids allowed
- Only 1 item per person
Time Capsule will open after Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, April 6th, in front of Picker's Pavilion at Blackberry Square. It will be sealed after the event ends on Monday, April 8th.
