Britt’s passion for wine started with small gatherings and grew into private tastings. His wines, inspired by his travels, range from American Cabernet to Bordeaux Blends. In 2019, he bought the Old Elder School in Kilgore, transforming it into a tasting room and entertainment destination. Now open to the public, you can enjoy wine and dine events or drop in to sample incredible wines.

It all began with a trip to St. Rose Winery back in 2011. Mrs. Mary inquired about a job and began working there that same weekend to help pick grapes. They fell in love with the vineyard and the wine making process. It soon became their dream to have their own winery one day. Five years later, the opportunity to buy St. Rose Winery fell into their lap, and they didn’t think twice. Mary and Julio bought the winery in November of 2016 and are now proud owners of their own business. After 3 years of hard work, trial and error and a strong friendship with O’Farrell Country Vineyards, they opened their doors in January of 2020.
